Jojo Moyes

 

Pauline Sara Jo Moyes, better known as Jojo Moyes, is a popular English novelist and jounalist. She was born in 1969 in Essex. Year 2002 she finally became a full time novelist due to the success of her first published book Sheltering Rain, yet she still writes for The Daily Telegraph.

She is well known for her best selling romantic novels such as Still me and most importantly Me before you which has been adapted into a movie and made 208.31 million USD in the box office selling over 1 million copies and therefore earning Moyes the platinum award.

Though this is not her only accomplishment, since she is one of the few authors who have won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award twice.

While she mostly writtes for he romance genre she also makes exceptions, her most recent book Someone else's shoes being proof of this, containing many romantic elements but focusing on a female friendship.

Her works have been translated into multiple languages and have sold over 40 million copies worldwide.

The Mierscher Lieshaus posesses many of her books in French, German and English, like Ein ganzes halbes Jahr, The girl you left behind and Avant toi.
